A spectacular review on the fabulous BEACH HOUSE,



For us, the perfect vacation.......... 
We fell in love with Sunset Drive the first time we stayed. My Paradise was our first choice but was already rented during the time we wanted, so we stayed elsewhere. The next time, it was available and it was perfect. Large open areas that simply melted into each other, a fabulous covered deck to read in the shade or catch some rays. A beautiful beach complete with sand bar makes walking at low tide a nature adventure. A man made jetty is a naturalist's dream - all kinds of sea creatures - parrot fish, nurse sharks (very gentle), lobsters and all varieties of fish and the curious little sting rays who swam up to us to see just what we were and then hurried off to catch a crab. We witnessed two turtle nests hatch this year and it was awesome, especially for our 9 year old grandson. The amenities of the house are well documented in other posts. It was lovely! Having lived in the keys years ago, it was perfect. We'll be back.

Condo communities offer amenities not found in a single family home, i.e. swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court, barbecue area, tiki picnic area, beach and so on.

Renting a Single Family Home? Single family homes are ideal for family vacations. They usually offer more privacy and flexibility than a condo. Most have private dockage on canals leading to the ocean or bay and a few have swimming pools. Some residential communities offer a private beach and/or provide boat launching facilities.

Relocating to the Upper Keys? If you are relocating to the Upper Keys area we have several rental properties that are available on a long term basis. We can assist you in collecting the information you need, and make your transition as smooth as possible. 5 Fall Dinners Where Apples Are the Star

Pie's fine, but fall's favorite fruit can do so much more. See it stretch its wings in these five savory weeknight meals.

MONDAY: BACK TO BASICS

Get creative later! Tonight's the night to cook up a classic German combination—sausage, sauerkraut, apples. (Come to think of it, though, this recipe does go a little off-script: it gets an extra nutritional boost from seared bok choy.)

TUESDAY: WHAT GROWS TOGETHER GOES TOGETHER

Apples—in this recipe Pink Ladies or Honeycrisps—share the same season as hearty greens like kale and Brussels sprouts. And all of that comes together in this massaged salad, which gets a salty kick from the addition of Mimolette cheese. I'd top it with a fried egg and call it dinner.

WEDNESDAY: YOU DESERVE A BRAISE

The best part of the chicken (that'd be the thighs) are braised gently with butter, brown sugar, apples, and shallots in this warming weekday dinner, which comes together in less than an hour.

THURSDAY: WILL YOU ROSEMARY ME?

Apples meet potatoes, fennel, and rosemary in the oven while you whip up these pork chops on the stove. If nothing else, your house will smell tremendous.

FRIDAY: FAST, FANCY SHELLFISH

What takes only a few ingredients, comes together in a flash, and is endlessly elegant on the plate? This little seared-scallops number, the sort of thing you can make for date night—or just to celebrate making it to the end of the week.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:    MINIMUM STAY:  28 DAYS   “Sunrise on Sunset” is the ULTIMATE BEACH FRONT HOME.   There are BREATH TAKING OCEAN VIEWS from almost every room in this house!   Play in the sand, walk into the ocean or sit under the covered ground level area.   This spacious 3BR/3BA single family home offers many ways to enjoy the views.   Several sets of sliding glass doors across the front of the home provide 180 degree view of the ocean - from the living and dining areas and the master suite.   The full walk around balcony with many seating areas creates a variety of places to take advantage of the rising or setting sun and the different wind patterns.   New owners have completely refurnished this home:  formal dining table and chairs; “L” shaped sofa with full size sleeper sofa; plus a separate area with full size sleeper sofa.  The master suite is spectacular with a vaulted ceiling and ocean views from two sides and sliding glass doors leading to the balcony.  There’s a king bed and queen sleeper sofa, ensuite bath with a jetted tub, separate stall shower and a walk-in closet.  One guest room offers a king bed with views of the canal and sliding doors to the balcony.  The other guest bedroom offers two full sized beds and sliding doors to the balcony.   A NEW kitchen is currently under construction (Fall 2018) and will be ready by early November.   When everyone congregates in the kitchen, as everyone tends to do, there will still be space to move around in this modern roomy kitchen.  

This home lives on the 2nd floor and offers a ground level entry with a wide elegant stair case and an elevator.   There is a large outdoor covered area on the ground level with lots of new outdoor seating and a hammock.   Gather on the beach to catch the rays or take advantage of the shaded area.  This home is built for relaxation and entertaining.   There are large flat screen TV’s in the living area and all the bedrooms.   Bring your boat and tie it up at the dock across the street.  There is water and electricity at the dock.  Wi-Fi is included.   Call now to make your reservation.

Rate Details:  $12,000/month (Dec thru Aug); $9,000/month (Sept thru Nov).   Monthly Rates are calculated from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month.  If your plans are for less than a month we may be able to help.   Please call the office.   Additional Charges $400 departure cleaning fee; $200 processing fee;  and 12.5% state and local taxes.  Refundable Security Deposit:  $1,000 with Accidental Damage Insurance, $3,000 without.  Utility Caps/Mo:   $150 water and $300 electricity.   Pet Fees:  Pets are accepted at this property on a case by case basis.  There is no pet fee, however there is an additional $200 pet security deposit.

Accidental Damage:  $45  covers up to $3,000 of accidental damage during your stay.
